So now that your xbox is loaded, and Debian is up and running on the xbox, we need to do the last bit of the install.

open putty again and connect to the new ip (192.168.1.107, with username of root and a password of xebian)

once logged in, type

tar xpzvf mythtv-xbox.0.4.5-beta.tar.gz <enter>

and lastly

./install.pl -c

This is going to do a little configuration on your time zone first, it is important that you select the same timezone settings that you did on your backend, (otherwise your guide will be screwy) Type 'y' and  hit enter to change the time zone.

choose your settings, mine was 4) Canadian - so i typed in a 4 and hit enter

now we have to change the timezone to yours, being in Alberta I chose Mountain Time by typing in Mountain and hitting enter. doing this brings up some of the configuration settings for mythtv. i let it use the default settings for the next few screens.

hit enter (yes)

Hit Enter (yes)

Type in your backends ip address (mine in the example is 192.168.1.110) and  hit enter (next)

Hit enter (next) unless your have a different username to connect to your mythtv backend

Hit enter (next) unless your have a different password to connect to your mythtv backend

Hit enter (next) unless you have named your database differnt.

Now this one is up to you, this is a feedback program that the author of the xbox scripts included. now i dont know what it does, and i dont like to participate in things like this, so its your choice here. hit Enter to get to the next screen.

your choice. select and hit enter

Now this is something i was never able to get going, i have a digital output from my xbox to my receiver, it works great in games, but i could not make it work in linux (mythtv) so i chose No and hit enter.

so now we are at the part of getting modules for mythtv, by default the xbox is not that powerful with only 64mb of ram. i used the default modules, and just hit enter - avoiding getting Mythgame and Mythbrowser - but hey, you not me are you?

welp, your now at one of the better points, hit enter and watch some magic begin!

After this is done, you will get this screen

just hit enter

let this go through, if you get any screens that popup with a bunch of text telling you about LIB(fill in the blank)package, hit "Q" on your keyboard to quit that txt file (usually release note type stuff) and it will continue on.

it will continue on for a while, relax - go get a pepsi or something... when it comes to this screen fill in your backend information again.

for example i used my backend of 192.168.1.110
